Visit to Orphanage and Old Age home
The teachers, along with the students went to an old-age home named 'Tungabhadra Vriddhashrama ' on September21, which had 30 elderly residents. The people over there are experiencing a hard life. However, the environment was a bit different. When we reached there, they were overwhelmed and the happiness in their eyes could be seen. They looked happy, but still their pain of not being able to live with their dear ones could be felt. But still, it looked like a big joint family. Even a visit was paid to a children orphanage, Bhandavya on the same day. The forty orphan children therein want to realize their full potential. They want to ensure that they will be able to reintegrate into their community as healthy, happy, responsible and independent adult girls. After all, education is the only and permanent solution to poverty. Biscuits, fruits and groceries were handed over to these utterly delicate people belonging to the orphanage and old age homes. The Parents’ Association Members were also invited to the school premises to distribute the food accessories to the old age home people.
